Just a Note Card

Happy Wednesday! I don't know about you, but I'm longing for Spring to arrive here on the West Coast of Canada. With the thought of Spring on my mind, I set out and created this bright Just A Note Card, that would brighten anyone's day that receives it. To create my card, I used dies from Joset Designs, Els van de Burgt Studio and ModaScrap. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Just a Note Card at home.

To start, die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Place a stencil overtop of the rectangle piece. Spritz Dylusions Ink Spray in Cherry Pie, Postbox Red and Squeezed Orange overtop of the stencil. Before removing the stencil, spritz water overtop of the ink. Remove Stencil and dry with a heat tool. Place the 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle overtop of the 4" Stitched Rectangle and run through your big shot. This will give you two pieces, which you need both. Distress the edges of each piece. Ink the edges of each piece using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of kraft cardstock. Place the piece of kraft cardstock in the Feathers Embossing Folder and run through your die cutting machine. Distress the edges of the cardstock piece. Ink the edges of the cardstock using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Pair of Leaves 1, die cut both leaves out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

From the Pair of Leaves 2 die, die cut the tall skinny leaf out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Die cut the 3/4" Stitched Fishtail Banner out of kraft cardstock. Flip the die around so that the notch is at the end that is straight, measure so that the die will cut a 3" and run the first part where the notch is through your die cutting machine. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Just a Note stamp and stamp onto the banner. Distress the edges of the banner. Ink the edges of the banner using Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink.

Adhere the 4" stitched rectangle frame to the 4" feather kraft paper. Foam square the 3 1/2" stitched rectangle to the middle of the 4" feather kraft paper.

Adhere the three leaves as desired in the middle of the 3 1/2" stitched rectangle. Trim the stems of the leaves as needed. Foam square the Just a Note banner 1/2" from the bottom of the 3 1/2" stitched rectangle.

To finish your card, cut a piece of kraft cardstock that measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4" and adhere your cardfront to your cardbase.

Here are a couple of closeup photos of the finished card.

And here's the finished Just a Note Card.
