Mon Ami & Bonjour Tags

Today, my Mon Ami & Bonjour Tags went out in the Graphic 45 newsletter featuring photos of my tags as well as a 60 second video tutorial. If you haven't signed up yet to receive their newsletter you'll want to, as they share #Simply G45 projects, Tutorials, Videos and sneak peeks of new collections coming! To sign up for their newsletter, head here, scroll down to the bottom of the page and there will be a box where you can enter your email address.

For this project, I was challenged to create a project within 60 seconds. With only having 60 seconds to create a project, most would find this a bit challenging. Let me tell you, it was challenging, but 60 seconds is actually longer than you might think. So, by using the French Country Deluxe Collectors Edition and Artist Trading Tags in Kraft, I was able to create these two simple but quick tags easy for anyone to recreate at home.  I hope that you'll enjoy some of the up close photos and a video tutorial of my Mon Ami & Bonjour tags as well as a few tips and tricks.

Tip: Adhere the burlap piece on your tag with liquid glue.

Here's the video tutorial on how I created my tags:

Season's Greetings Envelope

All this week, Graphic 45 is sharing their 3 new collections along with a new Deluxe Collectors Edition. I was lucky enough to receive the new Winter Wonderland collection to play with, so today I'm up on Graphic 45's blog sharing with you my Season's Greetings Envelope which features the new Winter Wonderland collection and a regular policy envelope. I have a few photos on my blog for you, but if you haven't stopped by Graphic 45's blog yet, make sure you do go and check out the rest of the photos of my project as well as Sandy's beautiful project.

I'm totally in love with the Winter Wonderland Collection and I can't seem to stop creating with it! With adding fussy cut images and patterned paper to the front of a regular policy envelope, I was able to transform it into a beautiful piece that could be given to someone at Christmas, or you could keep it and add it to your Christmas decorations. There are so many different possibilities when creating with this beautiful collection.

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to head over to Graphic 45's blog  to check out the rest of the photos of my project as well as Sandy's beautiful project!

Technique Friday with Els Inspiration - Die Cut & Colouring Team Designer Challenge

We're kicking off a new Die Cut and Colouring Team Designer Challenge on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today.  For July it's all about Technique Friday with Els inspiration. I set out looking on Youtube to find the video that inspired me the most and that video was the Lacy Poppies with Distress Oxide Background.
Here's the video:

With lots of ideas floating around in my head, I ended up creating a Thinking of You card featuring the Dandelion Fluff die from ModaScrap and the Stitched Rectangle Die from Els van de Burgt Studio. Make sure to read below as I share with you how I created my card, so you can re-create it at home. Read all the way down to the bottom of my post as I share with you some information on a fabulous giveaway from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

To start, die cut the 4 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Once the rectangle has been cut out, start by blending the Broken China Distress Oxide Ink in the top and bottom portion of the stitched rectangle. Blend Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink in between the Broken China sections. The last colour to blend is Faded Jeans, blend the Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink beside the Broken China Distress Oxide Ink in the top and bottom portion of the stitched rectangle. Spritz the ink with water. Let the piece of cardstock dry.

Dip a paint brush into Black Soot Distress Spray Stain and splatter the stain onto the stitched square. Let the piece of cardstock dry.

Die cut both the small and large Dandelion Fluff out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Thinking of You sentiment. Stamp the sentiment on the right hand side of the stitched rectangle.

Using liquid glue, adhere the small and large dandelion fluff to the middle of the stitched rectangle.

I loved how Els added the black stitching around her rectangle piece, so I went over the stitched part on the stitched rectangle. Once the black is on the stitching, go back over the stitching with a white gel pen.

In the top right and bottom left hand corners, add dots in between the stitching.

Cut a card base out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 6" x 9 1/2",  score at 4 3/4". Foam square the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few close up photos of my Thinking of You Card.

And here's your finished Thinking of You Card.
