Moment Tag

Happy Friday!

Today's project is a fun Moment Tag which features a variety of stamps from Charlene as well as dies from the Planner Essentials Collection. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my Moment Tag at home.

To start, die cut the large tag from the Planner Essentials 26 - Planner Pocket 3 - Tag & Topper out of watercolour cardstock. Cut the tag down to 5 1/2". Spritz the entire tag with water. Sprinkle Magenta Nuance in Raspberry, Coral and Rosebud over the tag. Allow the tag to dry.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Autumn stamp from the Autumn Surprise stamp set and stamp randomly on the tag. Reapply ink as needed to the stamp. Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Emboss It Ink to the strip stamp from the Journaling Elements stamp set and stamp on the right hand side of the tag. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp directly underneath the first strip. Sprinkle Black Magic Molten Dimensions Embossing Powder over the stamped images. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the girl stamp from the Make a Wish stamp set and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Watercolour the girl in using Scribble Sticks 1 & 2 and a waterbrush. Once the girl has dried, fussy cut the girl out. Ink the edges of the girl using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the flower stamp from the Make a Wish stamp set and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Reapply ink to flower stamp and stamp two more times on the watercolour cardstock. Watercolour the flowers in using Scribble Sticks 1 & 2 and a waterbrush. Once the flowers have dried, fussy cut the flowers out. Ink the edges of the girl using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the moment stamp from the Journaling Elements stamp set and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Fussy cut the word out and ink the edges of the word using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Foam square the girl to the left hand side of the tag. Adhere the moment word over top of the black embossed strips.

Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere two of the flower bunches to the bottom left side of the girl.

Foam square the other flower to the top right corner of the tag. To finish the tag, tie a piece of white twine through the top of the tag.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished tag.

Thanks Tag

Happy Wednesday!

I have been busy playing with the planner dies this week, to create this cute Thanks Tag. To create my tag, I've combined some of the new dies and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Thanks Tag.

To start, you'll need to choose four pieces of patterned paper. I used the Love Letters Collection from Mintay Papers.

Die cut the small tag from the Planner Essentials 26 - Planner Pocket 3 - Tag & Toppers die out of the first piece of patterned paper. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the ripped out tag topper for the small tag from the Planner Essentials 26 - Planner Pocket 3 - Tag & Toppers die out of the second piece of patterned paper. Ink the edges of the tag topper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Planner Essentials 27 - Retro Number Trio die, die cut one of the medium banners out of the same paper you used for the tag and a third piece of patterned paper. Ink the edges of the banner using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the fourth patterned paper piece, die cut the heart branch twice from the Planner Essentials 25 - Double Heart Insert. You will flip one of the heart branches over and use the other side.

From the Planner Essentials 27 - Retro Number Trio, you'll need the banner die. Die cut the banner out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Thanks sentiment from the Pieces of Life 4 - Retro stamp set and stamp in the middle of the banner. Ink the edges of the banner using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Planner Essentials 25 - Double Heart Insert, die cut the two floral branches out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Adhere the tag topper to the top of the tag.

Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the two banners to the top right corner of the tag. Add a small piece of white twine in behind the banners. Attach the ends to the back of the tag.

Adhere the two floral branches and two heart branches as desired in the middle of the tag.

Use foam squares to adhere the Thanks banner to the bottom portion of the tag. To finish off the tag, tie a piece of white twine through the top of the tag.

Here are a few closeup photos of the tag.

Memories Scrapbook Layout

Happy Sunday!

I've been busy creating with the Planner Essentials die this week. To create my Memories scrapbook layout, I've combined some of the new dies and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection along with some of the older dies and stamps as well as dies from Els van de Burgt Studio. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my Memories Scrapbook Layout.

To start, you'll need to choose a patterned paper collection, I'm using the Love Letters Collection from Mintay Papers. Select one patterned paper to use as the background. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the chicken wire stamp from the Background Stamps 1 stamp set and stamp in the top right side of the paper. Reapply ink to the stamp and stamp three more times in the same area. Apply ink to the stamp again and stamp twice in the bottom left corner of the paper. Distress the edges of the paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Planner Pocket - 2 die, die cut the entwined dot circle twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

From the Planner Patterns, die cut the flower pattern out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the pattern in flower half.

Cut a doily in half.

Die cut your photo out of a 3 3/4" Stitched Square.

From the Planner Essentials - 6 die, die cut the memories word out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. From the same die, die cut the flower out of one of the patterned papers from the collection you've chosen. Ink the edges of the flower using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

The next three steps use dies from the Planner Essentials - 21 - Note Pieces die.

Choose a patterned paper and die cut the 2 1/4" note piece out of it. Ink the edges of the note piece using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose another patterned paper and die cut the 2 3/8" note piece out of it. Ink the edges of the note piece using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose three patterned paper and die cut the 1 1/2" note piece out of them. Ink the edges of all three note pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

You'll need two more patterned papers and die cut the 1 1/8" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of the papers. Distress the edges of the fishtails. Ink the edges of the fishtails using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose two of the patterned papers you've already used and die cut a medium sized banner from the Planner Essentials - 27- Retro Number Trio out of the first patterned paper. Die cut the medium sized banner twice out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of the banners. Ink the edges of the banners using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Pieces of Life 3 - Quotes stamp set, choose one of the quotes. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the chosen quote and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the quote into four strips. Ink the edges of the strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From one of the previously chosen patterned papers, die cut a 4 1/4" Stitched Square. Distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From one of the previously chosen patterned papers, die cut a 2 1/2" Stitched Circle. Choose another piece of previously used patterned paper and die cut a 2" Stitched Circle. Distress the edges of the circles. Ink the edges of the circles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the same two patterned papers that you just die cut the stitched circles out of, you'll need to cut a 4" Stitched Rectangle out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of the rectangles. Ink the edges of the rectangles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the 2" stitched circle to the 2 1/2" stitched circle. Foam square the 2 1/2" circle 1" from the left and 1" from the bottom of the 12x12 patterned paper piece. Adhere the first entwined dot circle over top of the 2 1/2" circle. Adhere the other entwined dot circle overtop of the first entwined dot circle making sure the dots don't line up.

Adhere the flower to the middle of the 2" circle. Adhere the strips to the right of the flower as desired.

Adhere one of the 1 1/2" note pieces 1 7/8" to the top and 1 3/4" from the right of the page. Adhere the second 1 1/2" note piece 2 3/8" from the right and 2 5/8" from the bottom of the page. Adhere the last 1 1/2" note piece 5" from the left and 3 5/8" from the bottom of the page. Adhere one of the flower pattern pieces 1 3/4" from the right and 1 3/4" from the top of the page. Adhere the other flower pattern piece 5" from the left and 2 7/8" from the top of the page.

Adhere the 2 1/4" note piece 5 1/2" from the left and 4 3/4" from the bottom of the page. Adhere the 3 1/2" stitched rectangle to the 4" stitched rectangle. Foam square the 4" stitched rectangle 2 1/8" from the right and 2 1/4" from the top of the page.

Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the 2 3/8" note piece 2" from the right and 3 3/4" from the bottom of the page. Adhere one half of the doily to the top of the 4" stitched rectangle. Adhere the other half of the doily to the bottom of the 4" stitched rectangle.

Adhere the first 1 1/8" fishtail 3/8" from the top of 1" from the right of the 4" rectangle. Adhere the other fishtail 3/8" from the top and 1 1/4" from the left of the 4" rectangle. Adhere the photo to the 4 1/4" stitched square. Use foam squares to adhere the 4 1/4" square 2 1/8" from the right and 3 1/8" from the top of the page.

Adhere the memories word to the bottom right side of the photo and note piece. To finish the layout, adhere the three banners to the top right side of the page.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished layout.
