Let The Adventure Begin Card

I've been busy playing with Joset Designs new fabulous Safari themed collection. With the new dies in hand, I set off and created a fun Let The Adventure Begin Card. To create my card, I used dies from Joset Designs and Els van de Burgt Studio. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Let The Adventure Begin Card at home.

The next few steps are using the Zebra Die.

Die cut the nose out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink over the entire surface of the nose. Ink the edges of the nose using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the ears out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool wit foam, blend Tea Dye Distress Ink along the bottom portion of the ears.

Die cut the stripes, tail and top hair out of black cardstock.

Die cut the head, body and legs out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

From the Tree die, die cut the three clouds out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock to 1 1/2". From the Tree die, die cut the grass. Cut the grass down to 4". Using a blending tool with foam, blend Twisted Citron Distress Ink over the entire surface of the grass.

Die cut a 4 1/4" Stitched Square out of blue Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 1 1/8" Stitched Fishtail Banner out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Adventure saying and stamp onto the banner. Trim the banner down to 2". Ink the edges of the banner using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere all of the elements together to create the zebra.

Cut a piece of Brown Soft Finish Cardstock to 1 1/4". From the Adventure Edges, die cut the curvy die out of brown Soft Finish Cardstock to create land. Cut the piece down to 4 1/4". Adhere the land to the bottom portion of the 4 1/4" square. Foam square the grass to the bottom of the 4 1/4" square.

Foam square the large cloud to the top left side of the 4 1/4" square. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the medium size cloud to the bottom right side of the large cloud. Foam square the small cloud to the top right side of the 4 1/4" square. Foam square the zebra in behind the grass to the right hand side of the 4 1/4" square. Adhere the sentiment banner 7/8" from the bottom of the 4 1/4" square.

Die cut a 4 3/4" Stitched Square out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Adhere the 4 1/4" Stitched square to the 4 3/4" stitched square. To finish the card, cut a cardbase that measures 4 3/4" x 9 1/2", score at 4 3/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeups of the finished card.
