Hip, Hop Hello Card

Happy Wednesday!

I've been busy creating with the brand new Joset Designs collection of adorable Fairytale themed dies and stamps that is releasing August 4th. For today's project, I created this summery Hip, Hop Hello Card. To create my card, I've used a variety of dies from Joset Designs and Els van de Burgt Studio. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my card at home.

To start, die cut a 4 1/2" Stitched Rectangle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Spritz water over the entire surface of the rectangle. Spritz Distress Spray Stain in Carved Pumpkin and Twisted Citron as well as Dylusions Ink Spray in Pink Flamingo over the entire rectangle as desired. Use a paper towel to blot off the excess ink. Set aside to allow it time to dry.

Die cut both pieces from the Floral Burst Background out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Die cut a 2 1/4" Stitched Circle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to the Hip, Hop Hello sentiment from the Prince & Frogs Sentiment Stamp Set and stamp in the middle of the stitched circle.

From the Trio of Leaves dies, choose one of the leaves. Die cut the chosen leaf three times out of Spring Green Soft Finish Cardstock.

From the Once Upon a Time Accessories, you'll need the sun and flower with center die. Die cut the sun and flower with center die three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Picked Raspberry Distress Ink over the entire surface of all three suns. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink over the entire surface of two of the flowers. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Twisted Citron Distress Ink over the entire surface of the remaining flowers. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink over the entire surface of all three flower centers.

Adhere the Floral Burst Background with frame to the inside of the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle. Make sure that the stitching is showing all around the rectangle.

Foam square the 2 1/4" stitched circle 1/2" from the right and 5/8" from the bottom of the 4 1/2" stitched rectangle.

Adhere the three flowers together.

Cut one of leaves down to only having three leaves and adhere to one of the orange/pink flowers. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the orange/pink flower to the bottom right corner of the stitched circle. Cut the other two leaf bunches down to four leaves each and adhere to the top left side of the stitched circle as desired. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the remaining two flowers to the top left corner of stitched circle, making sure that where the leaf bunches meet are covered.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 5 3/4" x 9", score at 4 1/2". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
