Hello Notecard

Happy Wednesday!

Today's piece is a fun little Hello Notecard perfect to send to a friend with a little note. To create the notecard, I've used a variety of stamps, dies and stencils from the Art Journal Specials Collection as well as Els van de Burgt Studio and Joset Designs.  You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my notecard at home.

To start, you'll need a piece of wood patterned paper. Die cut a 4 3/4" Stitched Square out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 4 1/4" Stitched Square out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Place the Spring Flower Mandala Stencil on the left hand side of the square. Using a palette knife, put Texture Paste Transparent Matte through the stencil. Remove the stencil and allow the paste time to dry. Once the paste has dried, spritz the square with Dylusions Ink Spray in Cherry Pie, Pure Sunshine and Tangerine Dream. Dry the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the Bubbles die out of kraft cardstock.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to one of the girls from the Earthy Girls stamp set and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Colour the girl in using the Watercolor Palette set from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Once the girl has dried, fussy cut her out. Ink the edges of the girl using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 3/4" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the fishtail down to 2 1/2". Apply Jet Black Archival to the letters that spell Hello from the Morning Letters stamp set and stamp onto the right hand side of the fishtail. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Adhere the 4 1/4" Stitched Square to the 4 3/4" Stitched Square.

Adhere the bubbles die to the left hand side of the 4 1/4" stitched square. Adhere the hello fishtail 3/8" from the bottom and all the way to the right hand side of the 4 1/4" stitched square. Foam square the girl to the left hand side of the fishtail as desired.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 4 3/4" x 9 1/2", score at 4 3/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished notecard.
