#BeYou Planner Spread

Happy Thursday! 

I have been busy playing with the planner dies this past weekend and created this #BeYou Planner Spread. To create my spread, I've combined a variety of dies and stamps from the Planner Essentials Collection as well as dies from Joset Designs. You'll want to grab a cup of your favourite beverage and learn how to recreate my #BeYou Planner Spread at home.

To start, die cut two pages from the Planner Essentials 4 die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the diamond pattern from the Planner Patterns out of a piece of acetate, this will create a stencil. 

Now, you'll need the left page, place the diamond stencil as desired at the top left side of the page and spritz Dylusions Spray - Vanilla Custard through the stencil. Move the stencil down and spray Dylusions Spray - Fresh Lime. Move the stencil down one more time and spray the Dylusions Spray - Vibrant Turquoise. Set aside to allow the page to dry. 

Next, you'll need the right page, place the diamond stencil as desired at the bottom right side of the page and spritz Dylusions Spray - Vibrant Turquoise through the stencil. Move the stencil slightly to the left and spritz Dylusions Spray - Fresh Lime through the stencil. Set aside to allow the page to dry.

With the left page now dry, you'll need the dot stamp from the Background Stamps 1. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the stamp and stamp randomly on the page as desired. You'll need to stamp a total of seven times. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. With the right page dry, reapply ink to the stamp and stamp randomly in the bottom right side of the page a total of five times. Reapply ink to the stamp as needed. 

Distress the edges of both pages. Ink the edges of both pages using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose one of the reinforcements from the Reinforcement Variety Pack. Die cut the reinforcement two times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. You'll need a total of 12 reinforcements. Ink the edges of the reinforcements using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Planner Essentials 21 - Note Pieces die, you'll need the small and large note pieces. Die cut the small and large note pieces out of book page. Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Planner Essentials 21 - Note Pieces die, die cut the stitched rectangle and the rectangle with a cut out on the right side out of Bright Orange Soft Finish Cardstock. Distress the edges of each piece. Ink the edges of each piece using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Planner Essentials 22 - Planner Pocket 3 - Top Loading die, die cut two arrow strips out of Bright Orange Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of both arrow strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Planner Essentials 20 - Half Heart Page Set, die cut the heart three times out of black cardstock.

The next three steps use the Planner Essentials 25 - Double Heart Insert die.

Die cut the leaf twice out of Spring Green Soft Finish Cardstock.

Die cut the heart branch twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Die cut the palm leaf out of book page.

From the Planner Essentials 24 - Photo Frame Pages, die cut the filmstrip out of Spring Green Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the filmstrip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the 3/4" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of black cardstock. Trim the fishtail down to 4 1/4". Distress the edges of the fishtail.

The next two steps use the Planner Essentials 26 - Planner Pocket 4 - Tags & Topper die. 

Die cut the arrow label out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the arrow using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the banner out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the banner using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the #BeYou stamp set from the Pieces of Life 3 - Quotes stamp and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the quote in eight strips. Ink the edges of all eight strips using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Now it's time for assembly. We will start by assembling the right page.

Adhere six of the reinforcements over top of the circles on the page.

Adhere the stitched rectangle to the left hand side of the small note piece, making sure 1/4" is still visible. Foam square the note piece 1/8" from the right and 5/8" from the bottom of the page.

Staple the arrow strip to the note piece as desired. Adhere the heart branch to the note piece. Adhere the leaf to the left of the heart branch. Adhere the heart to the bottom portion of the branch and leaf.

To finish the page, adhere the You are Precious, You are Loved! and the #BeYou strips to the left side of the note piece as desired.

Now we'll move on to the left page.

Adhere the remaining six reinforcements over top of the circles on the page.

Adhere the banner to the orange rectangle piece 1/4" from the right and 1/4" from the bottom of the rectangle. Adhere the arrow to the middle of the fishtail. Adhere the fishtail to the back of the note piece, making sure 7/8" is showing at the bottom. Adhere the orange rectangle piece to the back of the note piece, making sure 3/4" is showing on the right hand side. 

Staple the arrow and film strip together in two pieces.

Staple the film strip and arrow to the right side of the note piece. Half of the arrow strip will sit on the banner. Foam square the note piece 1/4" from the left and 1 3/4" from the top of the left page.

Adhere one of the black hearts to the top right corner of the note, in behind the film strip and arrow strip. Adhere the heart branch to the middle of the note piece. Adhere the palm leaf to the middle of the heart branch. Adhere the leaf to the middle of the palm leaf. Adhere the black heart to the bottom portion of where the branches meet. 

Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the remaining word strips to the right side of the leaves and branches as desired. 

On both the right page and left page, use a white gel pen to make marks on some of the stamped dots, the hearts, arrow strips and around the note pieces as desired. 

To finish the two pages, splatter Dylusions Spray in Vibrant Turquoise and Vanilla Custard with a paint brush as desired.

Elizabeth Craft Designs April Group Post - Easter Projects

For April's Group Post it's all about Easter Projects. For this month's group post, I'm sharing my Happy Easter Card. To create my card, I've used dies from Joset Designs. Grab a cup of your favourite Springtime beverage and read below as I have a tutorial for you so that you can re-create my Happy Easter Card at home. You'll also want to make sure to stop by the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog to check out the rest of the projects.

To start, you'll need to die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut a 4" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of a piece of patterned paper. Ink the edges of both rectangles using Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

The next five steps are using the Spring Basket die.

Die cut the basket out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Gathered Twigs Distress Ink over the entire surface of the basket.

Die cut the large grass patches three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the small grass patches four times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of the large grass patches and one small grass patch. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Shabby Shutters Distress Ink over the entire surface of the three small grass patches.

Die cut the bow twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the middle and the tails out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the entire surface of the bows, middle and tails.

Die cut two large eggs and two small eggs out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink over the entire surface of one of the large egg and one of the small eggs. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the entire surface of the large egg. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Tumbled Glass Distress Ink over the entire surface of the small egg.

Die cut the flower die three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the middles three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. The first set of the flowers, use a blending tool with foam to blend Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the entire surface of the flowers. The second set of the flowers, use a blending tool with foam to blend Tumbled Glass Distress Ink over the entire surface of the flowers. The third set of the flowers, use a blending tool with foam to blend Shaded Lilac Distress Ink over the entire surface of the flowers.

The next four steps use the Bunny Die.

Die cut the carrot twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink over the entire surface of both carrots. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of the top of the carrots. 

Die cut the inside of the ears, mouth, tummy and feet out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink over the entire surface of all the pieces.

Die cut the nose and inside of the mouth out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the entire surface of both pieces. 

Die cut the head, body, arms and tops of the feet out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Hickory Smoke Distress Ink over the entire surface of all of the pieces.

From the Words 3 - Happy Holidays Die, die cut the Happy Easter sentiment out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Shaded Lilac Distress Ink over the entire surface of the words.

Adhere the carrots together. Adhere the bunny together. Use a black gel pen to colour in the eyes of the bunny.

Adhere the bow together.

Adhere the centers to each of the flowers.

Adhere the 3 1/3" rectangle to the 4" rectangle.

Use foam squares to adhere the basket 3/4" from the bottom and 1/2" from the top of the 3 1/2" rectangle. Adhere the bow to the top of the basket.

Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere a carrot, large egg, small egg and the bunny as desired inside the basket. Adhere three small grass patches and one large grass patch as desired along the inside edges of the basket. Adhere five flowers as desired to the top portion of the basket, covering a bit of the grass.

In the bottom right corner of the basket, use adhesive and foam squares to adhere a large grass patch. Adhere three flowers as desired slightly over top of the grass patch.

In the bottom left corner of the basket, use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the last large grass patch. Use adhesive to adhere a carrot, large egg, small egg, small grass patch and the last flower as desired over top and around the large grass patch.

Adhere the Happy Easter sentiment as desired to the bottom portion of the basket as desired.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase that measures 4" x 10 1/2", score at 5 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.
