Elizabeth Craft Designs Samples Part 2

I'm back today,  sharing with you two more projects that were on display at the Crafters Home Event and Creativeworld in Frankfurt. My first project is a Valentine's Day Banner featuring Els van de Burgt Studio dies and Joset Designs dies.

To create the Valentine's Day banner, each banner piece was die cut from the Stitched Fishtails dies and double dot paper. The scallop portion at the bottom of the banners were die cut from the Fishtail Borders die and double dot paper.
To decorate the rest of the banner, I used the next size down on the Stitched Fishtails for the patterned paper, the Love Sentiments die for the sentiments on each banner, the Arrow die for behind the sentiment, the Scalloped Circles die for the second layer on the banners, the Scalloped Hearts die to decorate the scalloped circles, and the Fitted Hearts and Stitched Heart Dies to finish off the sides of the scalloped circles.

Other Products Used:

- Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink: Spun Sugar Distress Ink, Fired Brick Distress Ink, Black Soot Distress Ink and Blending Tool/Foam
- Hug a Bug Seam Binding Ribbon: Black
- Bo Bunny: Wild Berry Double Dot and Tutu Double Dot
- Pebbles: Be Mine 6x6 paper Pad

To create the base patterned piece on the embroidery hoop, it was die cut from the largest Stitched Circle die out of double dot paper. The heart in the middle of the stitched circle is die cut from the Leafy Lace Heart out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Once the lace heart was die cut out, I used Spun Sugar Distress Ink and a blending tool and inked the entire surface of the heart. From the Love Sentiments die, I cut out the xoxo out of White Soft Finish Cardstock and then blended with Fired Brick Distress Ink. Adhere the stitched circle to the middle of the embroidery hoop. Foam square the Leafy Lace Heart to the middle of the stitched circle. To finish off the lace heart, adhere the xoxo to the middle of the plain heart.

To add some extra interest to the sides of the embroidery hoop, I used the Leafy Branch 4 and cut out the leafy branch out sixteen times from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Once the branches were cut out, I blended Peeled Paint Distress Ink over each branch. Using the Stitched Hearts die, die cut 4 medium sized hearts out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. With the hearts cut out, blend Fired Brick Distress Ink over each heart. The last pieces that need to be die cut out are two small fitted hearts from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Once the small hearts have been cut out, blend Spun Sugar Distress Ink on each heart. Next, you'll want to adhere eight branches on the bottom right hand side and eight branches in the top left hand side. To finish off each branch section, adhere two red hearts and a pink heart in the bottom right and top left sides. To finish the embroidery hoop, add Glossy Accents to the xoxo and a piece of ribbon at the top of the hoop.
