You're So Sweet Tag

 I've been busy this weekend playing with the fun Apron and Kitchen Tool Dies from Joset Designs. While playing with the Apron and Kitchen Tool dies, I created this fabulous tag which features some of the patterned paper from ModaScrap as well as some dies from Els van de Burgt Studio. I have a tutorial below for you so that you can recreate my fabulous You're So Sweet Tag at home. 

To start, pull out a #8 Manilla Tag. Trace the Manilla Tag on the back of a patterned piece of paper from the Sweet Vintage Rose patterned paper pack. Cut the tag out. Ink the edges of the patterned paper tag using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam. 

With the patterned paper tag traced and cut out, ink the edges of the patterned paper tag using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink and a blending tool with foam. 

Cut a piece of patterned paper from the Sweet Vintage Rose patterned paper pack that measures 3" x 5 1/4". Ink the edges of the patterned paper piece using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. 

Die cut the 2 5/8" Dotted Scallop Oval out of patterned paper from the Sweet Vintage Rose patterned paper pack. Ink the edges of the oval using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. 

Die cut two Kitchen Tools out of the backside of the fly sheet from the Sweet Vintage Rose paper pack. Die cut the same two tools out of patterned paper from the Sweet Vintage Rose patterned paper pack. Cut the handle off on each patterned paper tool. Adhere the patterned paper handles to each of the cream coloured tools. Ink the edges of the kitchen tools using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.  

Die cut the apron out of a variety of patterned paper pieces from the Sweet Vintage Rose patterned paper pack. Ink the edges of all the apron pieces using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. 

Adhere all of the apron decorative pieces to the apron. When adhering the pocket, leave the top portion of the pocket unadhered and adhere the pocket to the front of the apron. Slide and adhere the kitchen tools in the pocket. 

Adhere the patterned paper tag to the manilla tag. Adhere the rectangle patterned paper piece to the patterned paper tag.

Foam square the Dotted Scallop Oval 1/2" from the top of the rectangle patterned paper piece. Once the oval has been adhered, apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the You're So Sweet Sentiment stamp. Stamp the sentiment underneath the oval.

Foam square the apron to the middle of the Dotted Scallop Oval.

To finish your tag, add a piece of ribbon at the top of your tag.

WhoDunnit? Clue Envelopes

Tip: Layer in amongst the fussy cut images an Ornate Metal Keyhole as well as a Metal Clock Key. To give the staples a bit of extra dimension, add foam squares behind each staple.

Tip: Use an Ornate Metal Label Holder to highlight a section of the border.

Mon Ami & Bonjour Tags

Today, my Mon Ami & Bonjour Tags went out in the Graphic 45 newsletter featuring photos of my tags as well as a 60 second video tutorial. For this project, I was challenged to create a project within 60 seconds. With only having 60 seconds to create a project, most would find this a bit challenging. Let me tell you, it was challenging, but 60 seconds is actually longer than you might think. So, by using the French Country Deluxe Collectors Edition and Artist Trading Tags in Kraft, I was able to create these two simple but quick tags easy for anyone to recreate at home.  I hope that you'll enjoy some of the up close photos and a video tutorial of my Mon Ami & Bonjour tags as well as a few tips and tricks.

Tip: Adhere the burlap piece on your tag with liquid glue.
