Happy Friday! With only 11 days until Christmas, I found myself needing some quick and easy gift tags for the gifts I've been wrapping. To create my gift tag, I used dies from Els van de Burgt Studio, Joset Designs and stamps from Krista Schneider. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Joy Gift Tag at home.
To start, die cut a 2 1/2" Stitched Fishtail out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Sprinkle Red Magenta Nuance randomly on the stitched fishtail. Dry with heat tool. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Circle Background stamp and randomly stamp it three times onto the fishtail. To highlight some of the circles, use a white gel pen. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3" Stitched Fishtail out of green cardstock. Place the fishtail into the Berry Branch Embossing Folder and run it through your die cutting machine. Ink the edges of the fishtail using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the elf with the presents stamp and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Colour the image in using Tombow Markers 977, 969, 990, N25, 055, 177, 249, 847, 845 and 026. Once the image has been coloured, die cut it out with the coordinating die.
Die cut the Joy word from the Words 5 - Winter Wishes die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Candied Apple Distress Ink over the entire surface of the word.
Foam square the 2 1/2" stitched fishtail to the 3" stitched fishtail.
Foam square the stamped image to the 2 1/2" stitched fishtail. Adhere the joy sentiment to the bottom right hand corner of the 2 1/2" stitched fishtail.
To finish off the gift tag, punch a hole at the top of the 3" stitched fishtail. Tie a piece of twine through the hole.
