Thinking of You Tag

I have one more post to share with you today.
I've been busy playing in my craft room this past weekend, playing with a variety of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs. With a few of my favourite dies in had, I set off and created this cute Thinking of You Tag. To create my tag, I've used dies from ModaScrap, Els van de Burgt Studio and a stamp set from Joset Designs. You'll want to read below as I share with you how to recreate my Thinking of You Tag at home.

To start, cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 3 1/2" x 5". Place the rounded tag top from the Tags & More 9 - Sparkle die at the top of the piece of cardstock. Before running the die through your machine, place the die to cut the hole for the tag just below the rounded tag top. Die cut the reinforcement circle out of a scrap piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Place your tag in the Lots of Dots embossing folder and run through your die cutting machine. Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of the reinforcement circle and tag using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. Adhere the reinforcement circle overtop of the hole on the tag.

Die cut the medium Beaded Circle Frame twice out of Kraft Cardstock.

Choose two pieces of patterned paper from the ModaScrap - Pink Cotton Candy Paper Pack. Cut the first patterned paper piece to 3 3/4" x 3 7/8". Cut the second patterned paper piece to 3 1/2" x 3 5/8". On the second piece of patterned paper, on the top right side of the paper, tear down a bit of the paper. On the second piece of patterned paper, on the bottom left side of the paper, tear up a bit of the paper. Distress the edges of each patterned paper piece. Ink the edges of each patterned paper piece using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 3/8" Stitched Fishtail Banner out of Kraft Cardstock. Flip the banner to the other side and cut the banner on the other side. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the thinking of you sentiment and stamp on the banner. Distress the edges. Ink the edges of the banner using Ground Espresso Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut two Dandelion Fluff out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Adhere the 3 1/2" patterned paper piece to the 3 3/4" patterned paper piece. Adhere the 3 3/4" patterned paper piece to the tag.

Adhere the first beaded frame to the middle of the 3 1/2" patterned paper piece. Adhere the other beaded frame overtop of the first beaded frame, making sure that some of the dots still show from the first beaded frame. Foam square the two dandelion fluffs to the middle of the beaded frames.

Foam square the thinking of you banner overtop of the middle of the dandelion fluffs.

To finish off your tag, tie a piece of twine through the top of the hole on the tag.

Here are a few closeups photos of the finished tag.

Here is the finished Thinking of You Tag.
