Elizabeth Craft Designs April Group Post - Life Is Better on the Farm Projects

 Happy Monday!

For April's Group Post it's all about Life Is Better on the Farm Projects. For this month's group post, I'm sharing this Love Grows Here Card. To create my card, I've used dies the new farm themed dies from Joset Designs. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and read below as I have a tutorial for you so that you can re-create my Love Grows Here Card at home. You'll also want to make sure to stop by the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog to check out the rest of the projects.

To start, you'll need to die cut a 4 3/4" Stitched Rounded Square out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Choose a piece of black and white patterned paper. Die cut a 5" Fitted Rounded Square out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of both squares using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

The next three steps use the Barn Die.

Die cut the flower three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Worn Lipstick Distress Ink over the entire surface of one of the flowers. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Milled Lavender Distress Ink over the entire surface of the remaining flowers.

Adhere the 4 3/4" square to the 5" square.

Foam square the barn to the 4 3/4" square.

Adhere the roof to the barn. Adhere the two small doors to the two small doors at the top of the barn. Adhere the two large doors to the two large doors at the bottom of the barn.

Adhere the two handles to each door as desired.

Adhere two flower stems as desired to the right hand side of the right large door. Adhere the remaining flower stem to the left hand side of the left large door as desired. Adhere a piece of grass at the bottom of each flower stem.

Foam square a pink and purple flower to the right hand side flower stems. Adhere a purple flower to the left hand side flower stem.

From the Life Is Better on the Farm Stamp Set, you'll need the love grows here sentiment. Apply Worn Lipstick Distress Ink to the sentiment and stamp in behind the large doors.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 5" x 10", score at 5". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeups of the finished card.
