Oh Crab... I Forgot Gift Tag

Happy Monday!

I've been busy creating with Joset Designs newest collection of adorable sea themed dies. So, for today's project, I created this fun Oh Crab... I Forgot Gift Tag. To create my gift tag, I've used a variety of dies from Joset Designs and the Planner Essentials Collection. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my gift tag at home.

To start, die cut the small tag from the Planner Essentials 26 - Planner Pocket 3 - Tags & Toppers out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

From the Sea Weed die, you'll need the die that creates the sand. Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 2 1/4" x 1". Cut the bottom portion of the sand piece down to 3/4". Using a blending tool with foam, blend Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the sand piece. 

Die cut a 3/4" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the fishtail down to 2 1/8". Apply Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink to the Oh Crab sentiment from the Splish Splash Sentiments and stamp the sentiment onto the fishtail. 

From the Sea Turtle die, die cut the water bubbles out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the bubbles.

The next three steps use the Sand Crab Die.

Die cut the body and claws out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Candied Apple Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the body and claws.

Die cut the shell and the shell inside out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the shell. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the inside piece for the shell. 

Die cut the eyes and mouth out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Take the centers of the eyes out. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink over the entire surface of the outside part of the eyes. 

Adhere the sand piece to the bottom of the tag.

Adhere your sand crab together.

Foam square your sand crab 3/4" from the bottom and all the way to the left hand side of the tag.

Adhere the Oh Crab fishtail sentiment 1/8" from the bottom and on the right hand side of the tag. I let some of the fishtail hang off the edge of the tag. Adhere the bubbles by the sand crab as desired.

To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine through the top of the tag.
