Happy Sunday!
For June's Group Post it's all about Father's Day Projects! For this month's group post, I'm sharing my Happy Father's Day Card which is the perfect for giving to that father figure in your life. To create my card, I've used dies from Joset Designs, Els van de Burgt Studio and the Planner Essentials Collection. Grab a cup of your favourite beverage and read below as I have a tutorial for you so that you can re-create my Happy Father's Day Card at home. You'll also want to make sure to stop by the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog to check out the rest of the projects.
To start, choose two pieces of masculine paper. I used the Adventure Collection from Wild Whisper Designs. From one of the patterned papers, die cut a 4 1/4" Stitched Square. From the other patterned paper, die cut a 3 3/4" Stitched Square. Distress the edges of the squares. Ink the edges of both squares using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From another piece of co-ordinating patterned paper, die cut a 3 1/4" Stitched Circle. Distress the edges of the circle. Ink the edges of the circle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Planner Patterns, you'll need the diamond pattern. Die cut the diamond pattern out of kraft cardstock. Ink the edges of the pattern using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose another piece of co-ordinating patterned paper. Die cut two medium Entwined Circles out of the patterned paper.
Die cut the deer from the Planner Essentials 13 - Xmas Winter Insert out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Emboss It Ink to the entire surface of the deer. Sprinkle Ammo Camo Embossing Powder over the entire surface of the deer. Tap off the excess powder and emboss with a heat tool.
Die cut the Happy Father's Day words from the Words 3 - Happy Holidays die out of kraft cardstock.
Adhere the 3 3/4" Stitched Square to the 4 1/4" Stitched Square.
Adhere the diamond pattern to the middle of the 3 3/4" stitched square. Foam square the stitched circle to the middle of the diamond pattern.
Adhere the entwined circles to the edge of the stitched circles. Foam square the deer to the left side of the stitched circle. Adhere the Happy Father's Day sentiment to the right of the deer as desired.
Cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 4 1/4" x 8 1/2", score at 4 1/4". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase. To finish the card, use the Craft Drops in Pearl Olive to add dots on the dots in the entwined circles as well as all four corners of the 3 3/4" stitched square. Allow time for the craft drops to dry.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
Here is the finished Happy Father's Day Card.
