Miss You Card

  Happy Saturday!

For today's project, I created this pretty Miss You Card. To create my card, I've used a variety of dies from the Paper Flower Collection and Joset Designs. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my card at home.

To start, you'll need a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 5" x 9 1/2", score at 4 1/4". Place the 4 5/8" Stitched Hexagon at the top of the scored cardstock, you want to make sure that the top cutting part of the die is off of the cardstock, that way you won't end up with two stitched hexagons.

Next you'll want to choose three patterned papers from a patterned paper collection, I used Graphic 45's Nature Sketchbook Collection. From one of the patterned papers, die cut a 4 3/4" Stitched Hexagon out of the patterned paper. From the second patterned paper, die cut a 4 1/4" Stitched Hexagon out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of both hexagons using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the third piece of patterned paper, die cut the 4 1/2" Fitted Hexagon out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the hexagon using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Words 2 - Thinking of You die, die cut the Miss You Words out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

The next two steps use the Stamen Flowers Die.
Die cut the one of the swirly pieces twice out of a piece of light green cardstock. Die cut the other swirly piece once out of the same piece of piece of cardstock.

Die cut the extra large flower twice, the large flower three times, die cut the medium flower four times and die cut the small flower twice out of one of the patterned papers you've already used.

Die cut the extra large flower once, the large flower twice, die cut the medium flower six times and die cut the small flower three times out of one of the patterned papers you've already used. Die cut the flower centers out of a yellow piece of cardstock, you'll need a total of five centers.

Adhere the 4 1/2" hexagon to the 4 3/4" hexagon. Foam square the 4 1/4" hexagon to the 4 1/2" hexagon.

Adhere the three swirly pieces as desired on the 4 1/4" hexagon.

Adhere the flower pieces together. You'll need a total of five flowers.

Adhere the flowers as desired on the left hand side of the 4 1/4" hexagon as desired, making sure some sit over top of the swirly pieces.

Adhere the Miss You word to the right of the flowers.

To finish the card, adhere the card front to the die cut hexagon card base.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished card.
