Happy Tuesday!
For today's post, I've created this Sea Salt Tag Pocket for inside my junk journal. To create the tag pocket, I've used the Summer Journal Special and stamps from the Art Journal Specials Collection. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my tag pocket at home.
The next three steps use the Summer Journal Special Die.
Start by choosing one of the wood patterned papers out of the Worn Wood Paper Pack. From the Summer Journal Special die, die cut the pocket twice out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of both pockets using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut the two palm leaves out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Use a waterbrush and the watercolor palette to colour both palm leaves in. Once the palm leaves have dried, ink the edges of the palm leaves using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut the van out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Use a waterbrush and the watercolor palette to colour the van in. Once the van has dried, ink the edges of the van using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Journal Words Stamp Set, you'll need the Sea Salt definition. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Sea Salt definition stamp and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the definition into four strips. Ink the edges of the strips using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the sides and the bottom of your pocket together.
Adhere the two palm leaves as desired on the left hand side of the pocket. Foam square the van to the bottom of the palm leaves as desired.
Adhere the Sea Salt definition strips to the bottom right portion of the van as desired.
Adhere the pocket to one of the pages in your junk journal.
With your pocket adhered, add a tag to your pocket.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished tag pocket.
Other Supplies Used:
- Tim Holtz for Ranger Ink: Distress Ink - Walnut Stain and Blending Tool with Foam
- Ranger Ink: Jet Black Archival Ink
I hope that my tag pocket has inspired you to recreate your own version at home.
