I'm playing along with the December Day By Day happening on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Planner Facebook Group. So, needless to say that you will be seeing lots of posts of the different days in my planner through out December on my blog. For this post, I thought I would share with you how to recreate Day 1 & 2 of my planner spreads.
To start, choose a piece of patterned paper from the Christmas Market Collection. Die cut the left hand page from the Planner Essentials - 1 page die out of the patterned paper. Die cut the right hand page from the Planner Essentials - 4 die out of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the pages. Ink the edges of the pages using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut the 2 1/2" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Forest Moss Distress Ink to the Holiday & To Do sentiment from the Bullet Journaling 1 stamp set and stamp at the top of the rectangle. Apply Festive Berries Distress Ink to the list stamp from the Bullet Journaling 1 stamp and stamp onto the middle of the rectangle. Distress the edges of the rectangle. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. Write in your list.
Find a coordinating red that goes with your patterned paper. Die cut the small tag from the Planner Essentials - 7 die out of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two more patterned papers from the Christmas Market Collection. Die cut the large banner from the Planner Essentials - 3 die out of one of the patterned papers. Die cut the small banner from the same die set out of the other patterned paper. Distress the edges of the banners. Ink the edges of the banners using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the border strip paper from the Christmas Market Collection, choose one of the borders. Die cut the 3/4" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of the border strip. The banner will measure 4 1/8". Distress the edges of the border strip. Ink the edges of the border strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut the 1 & 2 from the Planner Essentials - 17 die out of Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock. From the dot patterned paper, cut a piece that measures 1" x 1 5/8". From a coordinating green paper piece, cut a piece that measures 1" x 1 3/8".
Choose a piece of patterned paper from the Christmas Market Collection. Die cut the tree reinforcements from the Planner Essentials - 15 die twice out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the reinforcement trees using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut the Photo frame from the Planner Essentials - 3 die out of Rich Black Soft Finish Cardstock. From the coordinating green paper piece, cut a piece that measures 3" x 4". Ink the edges of the green paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the coordinating green paper piece, die cut the 2" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail. Choose another piece of patterned paper from the Christmas Market Collection. Die cut the 1 1/2" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of the patterned paper. Distress the edges of the banners. Ink the edges of the banners using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose two labels from the Retro Labels Stamp Set. As well choose three words from the Winter Words Stamp Set. Apply Forest Moss Distress Ink to one of the labels and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Reapply the ink to the same stamp and stamp onto the same piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Festive Berries Distress Ink to the other label and stamp onto the same piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Apply Festive Berries Distress Ink to the first word and stamp inside of one of the Forest Moss labels. Apply Festive Berries Distress Ink to the third word and stamp inside of one of the Forest Moss labels. Apply Forest Moss Distress Ink to the second word and stamp inside of the Festive Berries labels. Fussy cut the labels out. Distress the edges of the labels. Ink the edges of the labels using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the tag patterned paper out of the Christmas Market Collection, fussy cut one of them out. Distress the edges of the tag. Ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 4" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of a patterned paper piece from the Christmas Market Collection. Distress the edges of both rectangles. Ink the edges of the rectangles using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
We will start by putting Day 1 page together. Adhere the tag to the middle of the tabbed page, making sure the holes line up. Adhere the tree reinforcements over top of the circles on the page.
Use foam squares to adhere the Holiday To Do list 1 1/2" from the left and 1 7/8" from the bottom of the page. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the border banner at the bottom of the To Do rectangle.
Use foam squares and adhesive to adhere the two banners to the top left corner of the page as desired. Adhere the green paper and number 1 together. Adhere the number to the bottom left corner of the tag.
Your page 1 is finished.
Adhere the two banners as desired to the back of the 4" rectangle, making sure you can see part of the banner hanging out at the bottom of the rectangle. Use foam squares to adhere the 4" rectangle to the middle of the page.
Adhere the 3 1/2" rectangle to the left hand side of the 4" rectangle. Foam square the tag to the middle right side of the rectangles. Adhere the photo and green paper together. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the Photo to the middle of the 3 1/2" rectangle.
Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere your three words to the bottom right side of your page. Adhere the red behind 2 number. Use adhesive and foam squares to adhere the number 2 to the top right side of the page.
To finish your page, cut your photo to 2 1/2" x 2 3/8". Adhere the photo in the photo square.
Your page 2 is finished.
