We are switching things up on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog this year and instead of having a designer challenge, we are having group posts each month. Each month the group post will have a theme and some or all of the design team members will participate. For December we are adding a second group post and the theme for this one is all about sharing a page or pages out of our December Day by Day Challenge!
For this month's second group post, I'm sharing both Pages 11 & 12 from December DBD. To create my planner spread, I've used dies from the Planner Essentials Collection, Els van de Burgt Studio and Joset Designs. Grab your favourite Winter beverage and read below as I have a tutorial for you so that you can re-create my Day 11 & 12 pages at home. To start, choose a piece of patterned paper from the Christmas Market paper pack. Die cut the page from the Planner Essentials - 3 die out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the page using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Choose another piece of patterned paper from the Christmas Market Paper Pack. Die cut the page from the Planner Essentials - 10 out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the page using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the green patterned paper out of the paper pack, die cut a 1 1/2" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of the paper. Fussy cut a tag from the backside of the paper. Ink the edges of the fishtail and tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the black plaid patterned paper from the paper pack, die cut a 1 7/8" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail out of the paper.
From the black snowflake patterned paper from the paper pack, die cut two of the strips from the Planner Essentials - 11 die. From the same paper, cut one piece that measures 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" and cut another piece that measures 2 5/8" x 1 1/2". Ink the edges of all the papers using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 4" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of the tree patterned paper. Die cut the 3/8" Diagonal Stitched Fishtail from one of the borders from the backside of the tree patterned paper. Ink the edges of both pieces using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3 1/2" Stitched Indented Rectangle out of the red striped paper. Ink the edges of the rectangle using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Next, you'll need one doily.
From the holly paper, die cut a 3 3/4" Stitched Indented Square out of it. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Die cut a 3" Stitched Rectangle out of the green plaid patterned paper. Ink the edges of the paper using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
From the Planner Essentials - 17 die, die cut the numbers 11 & 12 as well as the backings out of black cardstock.
From the house patterned paper, fussy cut three houses out. Ink the edges of the houses using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
First, we will start creating Day 11 page.
Adhere the snowflake strip over top of the reinforcement circles on the left hand page, the red striped one. Adhere the black plaid fishtail 1 1/8" from the left and 7/8" from the top of the page. Adhere the green fishtail 1 7/8" from the left and 1 1/8" from the top of the page.
Adhere the doily to the middle of the fishtails. Foam square the stitched indented square to the middle of the doily. Adhere the 3" stitched rectangle to the middle of the square.
Adhere the photo to the stitched rectangle. Adhere the 11 number together and then adhere to the middle left of the picture. Stick a holly sticker in each of the corners of the photo. Adhere the joy circle sticker to the bottom right side of the photo.
Here is the finished Day 11 Page.
Now, we will create the Day 12 page.
Adhere the snowflake strip over top of the reinforcement circles on the right hand page, the wood one.
Adhere the 2 5/8" floral strip 5/8" from the right and 1 1/4" from the top of the page. Adhere the tag 2" from the right and 3/8" from the bottom of the page. Adhere the 1 1/4" snowflake piece 1" from the right and 3/4" from the bottom of the page. Adhere the 4" stitched indented rectangle to the middle of the page. Adhere the 3 1/2" stitched indented rectangle to the 4" stitched indented rectangle. Adhere the photo to the middle of the 3 1/2" stitched indented rectangle.
Adhere the fishtail to the bottom of the photo. Adhere the number 12 together and then adhere it to the bottom right side of the photo. Adhere the three houses to the left of the 12 as desired. Adhere three of the banner stickers to the top right side of the page.
