Elizabeth Craft Designs December Group Post - New Years Projects/Last Minute Christmas Projects

Happy Wednesday!

We are switching things up on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog this year and instead of having a designer challenge, we are having group posts each month. Each month the group post will have a theme and some or all of the design team members will participate. For December's theme it's all about New Years Projects/Last Minute Christmas Projects!

For this month's group post, I created this quick and easy Joy Gift Box perfect to add a gift to or add to a table setting with a treat inside. To create my gift box, I've used dies from Joset Designs, the Planner Essentials Collection and Els van de Burgt Studio. Grab your favourite Christmas beverage and read below as I have a tutorial for you so that you can re-create my Joy Gift Box at home. You'll also want to make sure to stop by the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog to check out the rest of the team's projects.

From the Trio of Leaves die, choose two dies. Die cut one of the leaves twice out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the other leaf three times out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Shabby Shutters Distress Ink over the entire surface of the two matching leaves. Using a blending tool with foam, blend Forest Moss Distress Ink over the entire surface of the three matching leaves.

Choose one of the Planner Labels and die cut it out of red paper from the Winter & Christmas Paper Pack. Ink the edges of the label using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut the Joy sentiment from the Words 5 - Winter Wishes die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock.

Choose a piece of patterned paper from the Winter & Christmas Paper Pack. Die cut the Bonbon Box out of the patterned paper. Ink the edges of the box using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut three snowflakes from the Winter Sweater die out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Add a Transp. Glitter/Gold dot to the middle of each snowflake.

Put the box together.

Adhere the joy sentiment to the middle of the label. Adhere one of the snowflakes to the right side of the label.

Adhere the five leaves together. Adhere the leaf bunch to one of the sides of the box. Adhere the joy label to the bottom right side of the leaf bunch.

Adhere the other two snowflakes as desired on the box. To finish your gift box, add a white twine bow to the left side of the label.

Here are a few photos of the finished gift box.

Here is the finished Joy Gift Box.
