Peaceful Notecard

 Happy Monday!

For today's post, I've created this pretty Peaceful Notecard perfect to send to a friend or a loved one with a note inside of it. To create the notecard, I've used stamps and stencils from the Art Journal Specials Collection as well as dies from Joset Designs. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my notecard at home.

To start, choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Worn Wood Paper. Die cut a 3" Fitted Rounded Square out of the paper. Distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Die cut a 2 3/4" Stitched Rounded Rectangle out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Place the Waves stencil on the square. Using a palette knife, put Texture Paste Opaque Matte through the stencil. Remove the stencil. Once the texture paste has dried, distress the edges of the square. Ink the edges of the square using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Poppy stamp from the Poppy Dream Stamp Set and stamp onto a piece of watercolour cardstock. Colour the stamped image in using a waterbrush and the Watercolor Palette. Once the image has dried, fussy cut the image out. Ink the edges of the image using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the Peaceful stamp from the Journal Words Stamp Set and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut the word into a strip. Ink the edges of the strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Foam square the 2 3/4" square to the 3" square.

Foam square the poppy image to the left hand side of the 2 3/4" square as desired. Use a mini stapler to attach the peaceful word strip to the bottom right side of the 2 3/4" square.

To finish the card, cut a cardbase out of White Soft Finish Cardstock that measures 3" x 6", score at 3". Adhere the cardfront to the cardbase.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished notecard.

Here is the finished Peaceful Notecard.
