Happy Thursday!
For today's post, I've created this Bird Tag Pocket for inside of your junk journal. To create this pocket, I've used stamps and dies from the Art Journal Special Collection. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my tag pocket at home.
Choose a piece of patterned paper out of the Mystical Winter Paper Pack. Die cut the pocket from the Florals of Winter die out of the patterned paper. Die cut the branch from the same die out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the pocket using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam. Using a waterbrush and the Watercolour Palette, colour the branch.
Choose another piece of patterned paper from the Mystical Winter Paper Pack. Die cut the leaf from the Snowy Wishes die out of the patterned paper. Die cut each of the small snowflakes once out of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Ink the edges of the leaf using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the bird from the Bird Song Stamp Set and stamp onto a piece of Watercolour Cardstock. Using a waterbrush and the Watercolour Palette, colour the bird in. Once the bird has dried, fussy cut it out. Ink the edges of the bird using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.
Adhere the pocket to the left hand side of one of the pages in your junk journal.
Adhere the branch and leaf as desired on the pocket.
Adhere the two snowflakes in amongst the branch and leaf as desired.
Foam square the bird overtop of the branches and leaf on the pocket. To finish the pocket, slide in one of your tags.
Here are a few closeup photos of the finished tag pocket.
