Peaceful Tag

 Happy Tuesday!

Today's post, I'm sharing this Peaceful Tag.  To create my tag, I've used stencils, dies and stamps from the Art Journal Collection. You'll want to read below as I have a full tutorial on how to recreate my tag at home.

Die cut the tag from the Butterfly Pocket Insert from a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Place the Rock stencil on the right hand side of the tag. Using a palette knife, put Texture Paste Opaque Matte through the stencil as desired. Remove the stencil. Once the texture paste has dried, spritz Distress Spray Stain in Cracked Pistachio, Blueprint Sketch and Twisted Citron as desired on the tag. To give it a lighter look, spritz water overtop of the spray stain and dab off the extra spray stain with a paper towel. Set aside to dry.

Once the tag has dried, ink the edges of the tag using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Junk Journal Extras die, you'll need the curly edge die. Die cut the die out of a piece of kraft cardstock. Trim the right hand side of the die cut to 1 1/8" wide. Ink the edges of the edge using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

From the Journal Edges die, you'll need the ragged edge die. Die cut the die out of a piece of book page. Trim the right hand side of the die cut to 3/4" wide and 4 3/4" long. Ink the edges of the edge using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose two of the flowers from the Flower Powder Die. Die cut one of the flowers from White Soft Finish Cardstock. Die cut the other flower from a piece of kraft cardstock.

Die cut the bud branch from the Budding Florals die out of a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Using a waterbrush and the Watercolour Palette, colour the bud branch. Once dry, ink the edges of the branch using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Choose one of the branches from the Blooming Branches Die. Die cut the branch out of a piece of book page.

From the Journal Words stamp, you'll need the peaceful word. Apply Jet Black Archival Ink to the peaceful word and stamp onto a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock. Cut into a word strip. On the right hand side, cut it on an angle. Ink the edges of the word strip using Black Soot Distress Ink and a blending tool with foam.

Cut a piece of blue ribbon that measures 1" x 5 1/4". Cut the bottom edge on an angle.

Staple the ribbon to the right hand side of the tag as desired.

Adhere the curly edge 1" from the left and 1" from the bottom of the tag. Adhere the ragged edge 3/4" from the right of the tag.

Staple the bud branch slightly to the right of the right hand side of the ragged edge. Adhere the kraft flower to the middle of the bud branch.

Adhere the white flower to the middle left side of the bud branch. Trim the bottom of the flower as needed. Adhere the flower branch to the middle of the white flower branch. Staple the peaceful word strip 1 7/8" from the left and 1/2" from the bottom of the tag.

To finish the tag, tie a piece of twine through the hole at the top of the tag.

Here are a few closeup photos of the finished tag.
